McDonald's Chosen for Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes - Third Year as Recognized CSR Leader

September 10, 2007

For the third year in a row, McDonald's has been selected for inclusion in the Dow Jones World and Dow Jones North America Sustainability Indexes. These indexes recognize companies that are industry leaders on a broad range of economic, environmental, and social issues. McDonald's is one of the very few food service retailers to be so honored.

The DJSI Indexes are among the world's most prestigious stock indexes for socially responsible investors. Inclusion reflects an expert judgment that a company is creating long-term shareholder value by strategically managing social responsibility-related opportunities and risks.

"McDonald's inclusion in the DJSI for the third straight year show how our owner/operators, suppliers, and company staff are working together to continuously improve performance," said Bob Langert, Vice President for Corporate Social Responsibility. "As we seek to drive the sustainable, profitable growth of our company, we also aim to contribute to a sustainable society."
